What Fits in the 20 Yard
- 20 cubic yards
- 14 ft long
- 7.5 ft wide
- 6 ft walls
A 20 yard looks shorter than people expect, and that trips up more customers than anything else we rent. It’s the same 14 foot platform as the others. The volume is in the 6 foot walls: length times width times height, divided by 27, makes it 20 cubic yards. It holds about eight pickup truck loads.
This is the size for full house cleanouts, big demo jobs, and construction debris. If you’re on the fence between the 15 and the 20, take the 20. The $30 difference is a lot cheaper than a second haul.

Chuck was easy to deal with, answered all my questions, delivered 20 yard dumpster as scheduled, pick up went perfectly. I would definitely recommend and will plan to call them again!
Compared to other companies, Integrity Roll Off had better prices and it was well worth it. We were able to make use of the 20 yard dumpster doing some home renovations. Would recommend.
Charles is a pleasure to work with, they helped accommodate our needs in a quick, professional manner. Will always use integrity roll off and recommend them to all family and friends!
How Much Weight Fits in a 20 Yard Dumpster?
The 20 yard includes 2 tons, the same as the 15, because the extra room is volume rather than carrying capacity. That suits what the 20 gets booked for: full-house cleanouts and construction debris fill the space long before they trouble the weight. Keep masonry out of it entirely, since concrete and dirt belong in the 10.
Deliveries run about 30 miles out of the shop on Wallace Lane, so the 20 yard lands in Fredericksburg, Stafford, Spotsylvania, King George, and Caroline County at the same posted price. The service areas page has the rest of the map.
Right Size for Your Job?
Good fit
- Full house and estate cleanouts
- Construction and demolition debris
- Major remodels
- Big moving cleanups
- Contractor jobs
Wrong size if
- Concrete, dirt, and gravel, those only go in the 10
- Tight placements where a 6 foot wall blocks a window or door
Still between sizes? Compare the 10 yard, the 15 yard or call (540) 444-3867 and describe the pile. Charles sizes jobs on the phone all day.
20 Yard Dumpster Questions
Why does the 20 yard look small?
Because it’s 14 feet long, same as the 10 and the 15. The extra volume is in the height. Six foot walls on that platform works out to 20 cubic yards.
Can I walk debris into it?
It has a swing door on the back, so yes, you can walk heavy and awkward pieces straight in instead of lifting them over 6 foot walls.
Is 2 tons of included weight enough for a house cleanout?
Usually, because household junk is bulky more than it’s heavy. If it runs over, it’s $75 a ton and you’ll hear the amount from Charles before the card is charged.
Do contractors get a different dumpster?
For commercial jobs we also run 20 yards that are 20 feet long with 3 foot walls, plus 30 yard dumpsters for long-term work. Both are on the commercial page.
What towns can I get a 20 yard dumpster in?
Everywhere on the map: Fredericksburg, Stafford, Spotsylvania, and out to King George, Caroline, Bumpass, Partlow, and northern Orange County. The service areas page lists every delivery area with its own local answers.
